The paper mill was considerably larger during its good days. The last big demolition campaigne took place in 1988.

It was very close to hydroelectric power, although in restricted amount.

The electric plant is still going. But the mill lies in the middle of nowhere. There used to be a railroad but the mill was still quite isolated.
